DDC Kupwara reviews progress under Zimadari Project

KUPWARA : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of Zimadari Project of the Education department.

On the occasion, it was informed that a comprehensive exercise has been already done regarding the implementation of Zimadari Project in the district and a dashboard to capture elaborate detail of various indicators is already in place to monitor the progress of different indicators, school wise.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to identify indicators for targeted intervention for more meaningful results of this comprehensive exercise.

She directed CEO Kupwara to sit with the representatives of the Pratham and Parimal Foundation and chalk out the comprehensive plan for interventions needed for successful implementation of the Zimadari project.

She directed the CEO to finalize modules of refresher training courses for the teachers in consultation with experts from Pratham and Parimal Foundation by next Monday. She said that, to begin with, 25 schools which are figuring in Category-D as per the assessment will be targeted for imparting 30-days learning courses, as per the specialized modules.

Meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Principal DIET Kupwara, Dy. CEO Kupwara, and representatives from Pratham and Parimal Foundations.
