DDC Shopian reviews progress on RIDF projects of NABARD

SHOPIAN : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Faz lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting to review the status of projects funded under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of NABARD in the district.

DDM NABARD, Rouf Ahmed Zargar informed that 66 projects with total outlay of Rs. 266.46 Cr under different sectors are under execution in the district.The projects funded under RIDF of NABARD in the district include rural roads, bridges, water supply schemes, primary health centres, irrigation and flood control works, fruit mandis and works under Sheep/Animal Husbandry among others.

DDC was also apprised on various issues related to fund flow, timely submission of Project Completion Certificates and Utilization Certificates.

The DDC, while reviewing the physical and financial progress of the taken up works, laid thrust on the executing agencies to complete the projects under timelines fixed by NABARD. He also directed the line departments for forwarding of DPRs of at least two projects under new 137 project activities of NABARD.

Project-wise threadbare discussion was held to accelerate the physical and financial components of the projects.

The DDC directed the Executive Engineers to speed up pace.

DDC also impressed upon the executing agencies to liaison with the line departments to keep them abreast of status of projects and proper monitoring.

The meeting was attended by DDM, NABARD, CPO, CAO, CHO, AD, Planning, and Ex-Engineers of R&B, PHE and Irrigation and other concerned.
