Kupwara : Deputy Director General (DDG) of Doordarshan, Cluster Head, Mr. H.P. Meena, conducted an official visit to Kupwara today to review broadcasting infrastructure and ongoing media development projects in the district.
During his visit, Mr. Meena inspected the High Power Transmitter (HPT) Kupwara station, where he assessed the functioning and operational readiness of the facility. He also took stock of the FM Radio project currently under process, emphasizing the importance of timely completion to enhance regional communication and outreach.
Later, the DDG interacted with the staff and held a comprehensive meeting to discuss key issues, progress updates, and future planning related to Doordarshan services in the region. The staff expressed their appreciation for the senior official’s visit and shared suggestions for strengthening local broadcasting capabilities.
Mr. Meena’s visit reflects Doordarshan’s continued commitment to expanding its media network and ensuring efficient public service broadcasting in border and remote areas like Kupwara.
