KULGAM, AUGUST 19: The District Election Office Kulgam Saturday conducted a one-day training program for Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers for 4 Municipal Committees viz. Municipal Council Kulgam, Municipal Committee Yaripora, Municipal Committee Devsar and Municipal Committee Frisal at mini-secretariat, here.

The training program was inaugurated by the District Election Officer Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.

The DEO emphasized the importance of Municipal Elections and stressed the Returning Officers/Assistant Returning Officers to prepare themselves fully for the conduct of free, fair and transparent Municipal elections.

During this training programme, the Deputy District Election Officer Kulgam, Bilal Ahmad Kamgar and District level Master Trainers imparted training to these ROs/AROs to make them aware about the process involved in conducting elections smoothly and to ensure that no corner shall be skipped during the conduct of upcoming elections of Municipal Councils and Committees.

District Master trainers also imparted training to the participants with special emphasis on the process of Elections and Role of ROs and AROs.
