DEO Kupwara chairs preparedness meeting for conduct of Assembly Election

KUPWARA : In order to ensure smooth conduct of Assembly Election in the district, the District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the preparedness for upcoming Assembly Election.
On the occasion, the District Election Officer impressed upon all the officers to gear up their men and machinery to ensure smooth conduct of the ensuing Assembly Election in the district. She asked the Nodal Officers, designated for various assignments to abreast themselves with the latest guidelines of the Election Commission of India provided on ECI website.
Regarding Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), the District Election Officer asked the Chief Education Officer to ensure all AMFs are in place including proper sitting arrangements for the voters at polling stations. She also took review of various other measures including conduct of training session for Nodal Officers, issuance of permissions to political parties, material management, EVM, Randomization and Manpower management.
The DEO also emphasized the direct and timely communication between Assembly level Control Rooms with District Election Control Room.
SSP Kupwara, SSP Handwara, ADDC, ADC Kupwara, PO-ICDS, ACD, ACP, CEO, besides, other district officers and Nodal Officers were present in the meeting.
