DEO Kupwara inspects the ROs office, Election control Room , other facilities at Handwara

Kupwara : The District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS) today conducted thorough inspection of Election Control Room (ECR) Handwara, RO’s Office , AROs Office, and Strong room of AC 5- Handwara.

Additional District Magistrate/ RO Handwara, Aziz Ahmed Rather , Executive Engineer R&B Handwara, Farooq Ahmed Shah and other officers accompanied the DEO Kupwara during her visit.

The inspection was undertaken to assess the preparedness of facilities and other measures for seamless conduct of upcoming General Election to Legislative Assembly-2024 in the AC-5-Handwara.

During the visit, the DEO conducted thorough inspection Election Control Room Handwara, RO Handwara’s Office, AROs office,Strong Room and counting Hall and meticulously reviewed the arrangements for upcoming assembly elections.
During the inspection, the DEO stressed the concerned Officers to take up necessary measures to ensure that all required arrangements are put in place well in advance to facilitate a smooth and efficient election related process.

The DEO reviewed various aspects of the control room’s operations, including communication systems, and response protocols.
During the inspection, the DEO interacted with the staff, providing guidance on handling election-related queries, complaints, and emergencies.
DEO expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, however she stressed the importance of vigilance and responsiveness during the election period.

The DEO also stressed strict adherence to prescribed standards of Election Commission of India to uphold the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.
She also stressed on proper handling/management of election material besides ensuring efficient and secure mechanisms for its storage.
