Jammu : The Director General of Police J&K R R Swain chaired 29th CCTNS Empowered Committee to review the progress of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) project at Police Headquarters on thursday.
Spl. DG Crime J&K, A. K. Choudhary, MD Police Housing Corporation/DG Prison, J&K,  Deepak Kumar, ADGP (Hqrs/Coord) PHQ, M. K. Sinha, IGP Hqrs/CIV PHQ B S Tuti, DIG Crime Javid Iqbal Matoo, AIsG of PHQ Gurinderpal Singh, Shir J S Johar & Virinder Singh Manhas, DPT J&K  Manoj Pandith, SSP Crime Economic Offences Wing,  Amritpal Singh attended the meeting at PHQ while DySP (Now SP) CICE Kashmir  Musadiq Basu attended the meeting through video conferencing.
During the meeting the DGP J&K was apprised that all the 241 Police Stations of the UT have been covered under CCTNS and two way integration of CCTNS with other pillars of ICJS i.e. e-FSL, e-Prison, e-Prosecution (partial) and e-Courts has been completed. The chair was informed that overall performance on CCTNS Pragati Dashboard has increased from 75% to 81% during the current year. Further the chair was apprised that hardware was issued to 80 new higher offices and 10 Anti-Corruption Bureau sites. It was also informed that 98.4% digitisation of data since 1990 has been completed.
During the meeting discussion was held on a number of issues. The DGP accorded sanction of funds for re-establishment of CCTNS lab at the office of SDPO Tangmarg and for ASP Pulwama and DySP (PC) Kakapora in district Pulwama. The DGP also approved inclusion of CCTNS in BRTC of Non-Gazetted officers, Gazetted officers and for MHC course. He said that all the Training Centres need to be augmented for CCTNS Training and well qualified NGOs be provided for Training of Trainers. He also approved replacement of old hardware/software at training centres besides the procurement of consumable items, besides condemnation of obsolete hardware was also discussed.
Addressing the officers, the DGP directed for ensuring the complete implementation of the project by taking all the necessary measures. He stressed for proper planning & its execution for achieving desired result of the project. The DGP directed to workout plan for connecting Police Training Institutes with the CCTNS so as to provide basic training to the personnel for handling it.
