DIC Shopian organizes awareness prog under RAMP

SHOPIAN : The District Industries Centre (DIC) Shopian, under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative, organized an awareness-cum-outreach programme at ITI, Shopian today.
The event witnessed the participation of senior officers, including General Manager, DIC Shopian, Lead District Manager Shopian, Block Development Officer, Shopian, District Nodal Officer, EDI Shopian, Superintendent, ITI Shopian along with representatives from the Departments of Handicrafts, Banks, and officials from DIC Shopian were also present.
More than 150 beneficiaries from various sectors, including Handicrafts, Handloom, NRLM, EDI trainees, ITI trainees/Passouts and MSME entreprenuers actively participated in the programme.
During the inaugural session, participants were sensitized about the significance of Udyam Registration and its role in empowering businesses and industrial establishments.
Emphasis was laid on how collaboration with government initiatives and flagship schemes can help enterprises grow and succeed.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation was delivered, outlining the udyam registration process, associated benefits, and available support systems.
On the occasion, the General Manager DIC Shopian, Lead Bank Manager Shopian, Functional Manager DIC Shopian, District Nodal Officer EDI Shopian and Industrial promotion officer DIC Shopian also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of Udyam Registration. They interacted with participants, discussed various entrepreneurship opportunities, and encouraged them to leverage government schemes to scale their ventures.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, during which participant’s queries were addressed, reinforcing DIC Shopian’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and MSME development in the district.
