Baramulla : Range Police Headquarters in Baramulla, DIG North Kashmir Range, Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS) held a felicitation ceremony to honour students from both Government and Private Schools of District Baramulla. These students had performed remarkably during the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21st at Professor Showket Ali Stadium, Govt. Degree College, and Baramulla. The honoured students included Mohammad Arif and Nasir Ahmad Shah (Govt. Middle School, Gofbal), Haziq Khalik and Adil Ahmad Bhat (Govt. Middle School, Kalantara), Danish Nabi (Hr. Sec. School, Kuchwa), Sahil Majeed Bhat (Govt. Middle School, Allapora), Mohammad Faraan (Delhi Public School, Baramulla), Moiz Naseer (Hr. Sec. School, Monagam). Hailing from rural and under-resourced areas, these youths have not only excelled locally but have also taken part in national-level events—demonstrating immense talent, determination, and spirit. The felicitation ceremony was aimed to boost their morale and strengthen their resolve to represent the UT of Jammu & Kashmir at future national competitions with excellence and pride.
In his address, DIG NKR Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS) praised the student’s dedication, resilience, and exemplary performance stating that their success is a beacon of hope—proof that with perseverance, passion, and discipline, even those with limited resources can shine on big stages. He urged them to carry forward the values of unity, inner strength, and mindfulness embodied in the International Yoga Day theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” into every aspect of their lives.
While concluding DIG NKR emphasized that yoga is not just a set of postures—it is a journey toward self-discipline, inner peace, and community harmony. He also reiterated that exemplary performance at the International Yoga Day event shows that our youth can lead by example and urged all the students to carry this commitment beyond the mat and into daily lives—to stay physically strong, mentally resilient, and socially conscious. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Jammu & Kashmir Police to nurture talent from all backgrounds, promoting holistic wellness and empowering children from marginalized communities to dream big and achieve national acclaim.
