District Admin Srinagar intervenes to resolves 5 year old issue of water pipeline

Water supply to Salfiya Colony, Batamaloo augmented

In order to improve and augment the supply of drinking water to the inhabitants of Salfiya Colony, Batamaloo, the PHE Department today fulfilled the long pending demand of the locals by connecting the main water supply pipes with the already laid water pipes.

The process was undertaken after District Administration Srinagar intervened to resolve the issue which was languishing for the last five years.

On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad a joint team of Magistrates, PHE and Police today undertook the work to benefit the number of households in the area.

On the occasion, the inhabitants of the area expressed their gratitude to the DC Srinagar, Police Department and PHE authorities for fulfilling their genuine demand which remained languishing for almost five years.

Prior to this, the inhabitants of the Salfiya Colony used to get supply of drinking water through Tankers of the PHE Department on a daily basis to cater their daily requirements.(GNS)
