District Industries Centre Kulgam organizes awareness programme at ITI

KULGAM : District Industries Centre (DIC) Kulgam today organized an awareness programme at ITI Chawalgam Kulgam.
General Manager DIC, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Lone, Principal Govt ITI Kulgam, Faculty Members ITI, IPOs and other resource persons were present in the awareness session.
Speaking on the occasion, General Manager talked about industrialization and its importance and sensitized the participants about rapidly changing job market and economies of the world and need to adapt to changing situations and earn a decent livelihood by establishing the self employment units with the support of District Industries Centre.
He also sensitized the participants about prevailing drug menace and urged them to stay away from such activities and be focused to achieve their goals and upgrade their skills.
Principal ITI Kulgam, Ishfaq Ahmad also delivered a speech and motivated young technically equipped students towards innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the programme detailed sessions regarding brief overview and benefits under PMEGP, NCSS, MSME, PM Vishwakarma and Land Allotment were discussed.
On the occasion five participants shared their inspiring strategies with fellow candidates highlighting how they successfully leverage their skills to generate income while aspiring towards entrepreneurship.
The programme was followed by questions answer session and witnessed a threadbare discussion between the participants and speakers of DIC regarding the hiccups which are being faced by the entrepreneurs while applying/availing benefits under various schemes of DIC.
