Kupwara: District Police Kupwara on Wednesday organized a comprehensive awareness camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Kupwara, aimed at familiarizing students and staff with recently-notified criminal laws. The programme witnessed an active participation from all students and faculty members of the institution.

To start with, DSP Headquarters Kupwara, Mohd Rafee Rather KPS, delivered an insightful presentation, providing a detailed overview of the newly-enacted criminal major laws. He in his presentation shed light on the significant changes in legislation and highlighted the benefits these laws offer to a common man.

A key focus of the lecture was on the provisions incorporated in the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita concerning women’s safety. These thought-provoking insights sparked meaningful discussions among participants and underscored the importance of prioritizing women’s security in our society.

In response to the engaging session, both participants and faculty members expressed their appreciation to the Kupwara Police for organizing such informative programmes’. They also requested the continuation of similar awareness initiatives in the future to further enhance their understanding of legal matters and their relevance to everyday life.

The institution lauded the awareness camp as enlightening and informative, recognizing the efforts of the District Police Kupwara in fostering community engagement and promoting legal literacy among the youth.
