BUDGAM : District Administration Budgam today launched the Dharti Aabha Abhiyan at Panchayat Ladden of Block Nagam, as part of a dedicated campaign to ensure 100% saturation of various government welfare schemes across the district.
The Abhiyan is a government initiative aimed at spreading awareness among the rural population regarding the saturation of 25 key interventions being implemented by 17 different line departments. The focus is to ensure that every eligible individual is covered under the respective government schemes without any exclusion.
To mark the launch, a special Gram Sabha was convened at Panchayat Ladden, where representatives from all participating departments were present. During the session, officials explained the objectives of their respective schemes, eligibility criteria, and the benefits available to the citizens. They also discussed the identified gaps in coverage and reaffirmed their commitment to achieving full saturation under each intervention.
Gram Sabha witnessed active participation from the tribal community and other local residents, who appreciated the initiative. They acknowledged the importance of such outreach programs and emphasized that holding such inclusive Gram Sabhas is vital for ensuring equitable access to welfare schemes, especially for marginalized and underserved groups.
On-spot registration for various schemes was also facilitated by the departments during the event. Beneficiaries were enrolled in schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), Swadesh Darshan Guest House Scheme, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC), and Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY Health Cards.
Field-level teams were actively engaged in data collection and instant registration to streamline the process of inclusion. The outreach also served as a platform to educate rural households on their entitlements and to build greater transparency and confidence in public service delivery.
District administration Budgam focused its commitment to achieving complete saturation of all centrally and state-sponsored schemes in a timely manner through sustained community engagement and interdepartmental coordination.
