Distt Admin Kupwara reaches out to fire victims of Kachama

Immediate interim assistance provided to 3 fire affected families

KUPWARA : The District Administration Kupwara has provided immediate assistance to the three fire affected families of Kachama area of Kupwara where two residential houses were gutted in a devastating fire incident on Monday.

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray  a team of District Administration, Kupwara headed by Tehsildar Kralpora visited Kachama on Monday to provide immediate assistance to the three fire affected families whose houses were completely  gutted in a massive fire incident.

The team of District Administration provided immediate interim assistance in the form of Rs. 25000, 3 Kitchen sets, 3 Tarpaulins, 15 blankets, 6 clothing pairs, 6 bedding pairs and other necessary items among the affected families.

Meanwhile, the DC has expressed sorrow over the loss of the property and has also expressed sympathy with the affected families and assured the fire suffers of all possible support from Administration.

The DC had directed concerned Tehsildar to assess the loss of property and recommend the case for relief under SDRF norms

Dr. Sagar has appealed to the general public to follow all precautionary measures while handling inflammable household items, electric/electronic gadgets, LPG cylinders and other appliances being used for cooking purposes to avoid such fire incidents.
