DLSA Shopian organises awareness prog on Legal Services for senior citizens

SHOPIAN : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian today organized a legal awareness program on implementation of Legal Services to Senior Citizens, (NALSA) Scheme, 2016 at ADR Centre District Court Shopian.
The programme was held under the directions of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Shopian, Mudasar Farooq.
Deputy LADC Shopian Rafie Ahmad Ganie & Social Activist Mansoor Ahmad Margay were the resource persons for the legal awareness program.
The objective of the program was to provide information to senior citizens about their legal rights and the benefits under the NALSA Senior Citizens Scheme 2016 and different government schemes pertaining to senior citizens.
Both the resource persons informed the senior citizens and participants about different legislations as enacted by the legislature and various schemes formulated by the government from time to time keeping in view the interests of senior citizens.
The programme was attended by officials of DLSA, PLVs, and senior citizens and others.
