Kupwara : In a heartwarming display of leadership and compassion, Hakeem Tanveer District Program Officer (DPO) of Kupwara, under the POSHAN Project, demonstrated his commitment to child welfare and hygiene during an inspection of an Anganwadi Center (AWC) in the tribal area of Langate.
During the visit, Hakeem took a moment to wash the face and hands of a young child, a simple yet powerful gesture that underscored the importance of hygiene in the well-being of children. This thoughtful action not only showcased his personal commitment to health and cleanliness but also served as an invaluable teaching moment for the ICDS functionaries, local community members, and others in attendance.
By setting such an example, he reinforced the role of public servants in leading by action. His act highlighted the significance of hygiene, care, and the responsibility of leaders to set positive examples for the community. The gesture resonated deeply with those present, leaving a lasting impact on the importance of promoting good health practices at the grassroots level.
This meaningful interaction exemplified how leadership, when coupled with compassion and direct involvement, can bring about a profound change in community behavior and inspire collective action toward the health and well-being of children.
Through his initiative, DPO Kupwara continues to inspire not only his colleagues in the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) but also the local communities he serves, reinforcing the power of leadership by example in nurturing a healthier, cleaner future for all.
