Drug Peddler Apprehended with Narcotic Substance in Kalaroos

Kupwara  : In its continued efforts to combat the menace of drug trafficking and substance abuse, District Police Kupwara in a significant event during the intervening night a Naka party of Police Post Kalaroos, while conducting routine checking near Higher Secondary School Kalaroos, apprehended a suspicious individual, identified as Javid Ahmed Lone, son of Abdul Khaliq Lone, resident of Lashtiyal, Kalaroos. Upon search, 4 grams of a brown sugar-like substance was recovered from his possession.

A case under FIR No. 281/2024 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (8/21) has been registered at the concerned police station, and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the source and network behind the illegal activity.
