Bandipora police continuing its war against the menace of drugs today arrested a drug peddler near SK Stadium Bandipora and recovered contraband drugs from his possession.
Acting on a specific information regarding movement of a drug peddlers a special naka was laid near SK Stadium Bandipora by a police team led by SHO Ps Bandipora under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohammad Idrees-JKPS. During checking one suspicious person was arrested and during search 112 Capsules of psychotropic drug Proxywell Spas were recovered.The accused person has been identified as Aamir Bashir Baba S/o Bashir Ahmad Baba R/o Nowpora Bandipora.
During preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the accused were supplying drugs to youths of the area to make them drug addicts. Accordingly Case FIR No.05/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.
People are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers and help police in eradicating the menace of drugs.
