Awantipora 16 May : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora police arrested one drug Peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
During naka checking in area of Police Post Toll Plaza , police party under the supervision of IC PP Toll Plaza SI Ishfaq Ahmad arrested one Peddler. During search, officers were able to recover 5 grams of brown sugar like substance from his possession. The arrested persons has been identified as Adil Ahmad Bhat S/o Farooq Ahmad Bhat resident of Latribal Pampore.
Accordingly, case FIR NO. 111/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
