SRINAGAR : The frozen waterfall in Drung area of North Kashmir’s Tangmarg has become a major attraction for tourists, who are flocking to witness the natural spectacle.
Amid freezing temperatures gripping the Kashmir Valley, the waterfall in Drung, located just a few kilometers from the popular hill station of Gulmarg, has turned into a mesmerizing sight. The site has particularly captured the attention of vloggers and content creators who are flocking to document its stunning visuals. The waterfall has become a must-see destination for tourists this winter. “This is absolutely stunning; it looks like someone pressed a pause button and froze everything in time. It is like a painting brought to life by nature,” one tourist said.

Another tourist from Chandigarh shared a similar sentiment. “Despite the cold weather in my region, the way winter has transformed this place is unparalleled.” I cannot take my eyes off it-it is nature at its best. The entire waterfall looks like a marvel constructed by a master craftsman,” he said.
While the biting cold initially made some tourists apprehensive about visiting, the breathtaking view changed their minds. “The extreme cold does not bother me because of the beauty in front of me,” another visitor said.
Many tourists who came after seeing pictures of the frozen waterfall online were surprised by how much better the place looked in person. “People edit and enhance pictures, but believe me, this place is far more beautiful than the photos. Everyone should visit to witness this natural wonder,” a group of tourists said.(DE)
