In Kashmir The ‘Constitution Day’ was celebrated across with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
Constitution Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on 19th November 2015 notified the decision of Government of India to celebrate the 26th day of November every year as ‘Constitution Day’ to promote Constitution values among citizens.
In each district the DC’s highlighted the significance of observance of Constitution Day and enlighted the audience about its prominent value. They also read the preamble of the constitution and administered a pledge to uphold the fundamental duties to District Officers and officials present there .
India is indeed the mother of all democracies in the world . The main aim of celebrating this day is to create awareness among the citizens about the Constitution and its values. This day has a huge importance and more series of webinars, events in colleges and universities must be carried on for a full week .
