As the harsh winter sets in, schools in Kashmir often close due to heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures. However, education does not stop. To help students continue their studies, remedial classes and winter coaching centers have become an important part of the region’s academic system. These special classes offer extra learning support to students, ensuring they do not fall behind in their studies.
Many students in Kashmir face learning gaps due to school closures, harsh weather, and sometimes even internet shutdowns. Remedial classes help students understand difficult subjects, improve their performance, and prepare for exams. These classes are especially useful for students in higher grades, as they need extra guidance to perform well in board exams.
Teachers in these coaching centers focus on weak students, giving them extra attention and explaining concepts in an easy way. This helps students build confidence and perform better in their studies. For students appearing in board exams, these classes provide structured learning and revision, which is essential for scoring good marks.
Every year, the government, along with private coaching institutes, organizes winter coaching programs in different districts of Kashmir. Many schools and educational institutions offer free or low-cost coaching to ensure that every student gets an opportunity to learn.
In recent years, online learning has also become a part of winter coaching. Some teachers and institutes conduct virtual classes, helping students access study materials from their homes. However, internet issues in some areas still remain a challenge for online education.
Parents in Kashmir appreciate the role of winter coaching in their children’s education. They believe that these classes help students stay engaged during winter vacations and reduce the burden of studies once regular school resumes. Many students also find these classes helpful as they get a chance to clear their doubts and practice more.
Despite its benefits, winter coaching in Kashmir faces several challenges. Heavy snowfall sometimes makes it difficult for students to attend classes. Power cuts and heating issues in classrooms also create problems. However, many schools and coaching centers have installed heating facilities to keep classrooms warm and comfortable.
Teachers also play a crucial role in making winter coaching successful. Their dedication and hard work ensure that students get the best learning experience. Many educators take extra efforts to prepare special notes, conduct mock tests, and provide one-on-one guidance to students in need.
Winter coaching in Kashmir is more than just extra classes; it is a lifeline for students who want to excel in their studies. These remedial classes help students overcome learning difficulties, prepare well for exams, and stay engaged during the long winter break. With better facilities and government support, winter coaching can continue to benefit thousands of students across the region.
