Kupwara : In a landmark effort to enhance education and well-being, smartwatches, menstrual hygiene kits, and nutrition bars were distributed to students in the remote regions of Kupwara under the National Integration Project. This initiative aims to bridge gaps in technology access, promote health awareness, and support the nutritional needs of students in underserved areas.
The event, jointly organized by Rotary District 3141 and the Jammu & Kashmir Women’s Trust (JKWT), represents a significant step toward empowering students and fostering national integration. Held in Kupwara’s picturesque yet underserved locales, the distribution drive highlighted the importance of equipping students with modern tools and supporting their holistic development.
Smartwatches were distributed to help students stay connected with technological advancements, while menstrual hygiene kits ensured the health and dignity of female students. Nutrition bars were also provided, addressing the critical need for balanced nourishment to enhance academic performance and well-being.
The initiative reflects Rotary and JKWT’s dedication to the comprehensive growth of students in underprivileged areas, focusing on education, health, and overall welfare. War Lateef Chairman of JKYRM, and Beigh Javid, President of JKYRM, were present during the distribution, further underscoring the community’s commitment to student empowerment.
