Encounter breaks out between terrorists, security forces in Udhampur

Udhampur : Encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Khaned area of Udhampur district on Tuesday, police said.

In a post on X, DIG Udhampur-Reasi range, as per news agency said that after specific inputs about the movement of terrorists, a search and destroy operation was launched in the wee hours today.

He said that later contact was established with a group of terrorists, while operation is underway.

“After specific input was gleaned regarding movement in the area, a SADO was launched in the wee hours today by our parties; contact has been established with a group of terrorists in Khaned area of PS Basantgarh. Ops underway,” he said—(KNO)
