Srinagar : A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in in Khanyar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday morning, officials said.

A senior police official told news agency a search operation was launched in the area following inputs about the presence of terrorists.

He said that as forces approached the suspected spot, hiding terrorist opened fire, triggering an encounter.

“Exchange of fire is going on. Further details will be shared accordingly,” he said—(KNO)
