DDC Member and Jammu Kashmir Apni Party Women’s Wing District President Firdosa Akhtar today inaugurated Water Supply Scheme (WSS) costing Rs. 2.48 Cr in Panzigam area of district Bandipora.

On the occasion, it was informed that the water supply scheme was long pending demand of the people which was fulfilled today. The water supply scheme costing Rs.2.48 Crores will provide drinking water facility to 2500 souls.

Speaking on the occasion, Firdosa assured that all households shall be provided potable water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

Senior officers of PHE, PRI and local people were present on the occasion. While interacting with the people, the Firdosa took stock of problems being faced by them and directed the concerned authorities to redress these issues on priority.

Referring to measures being taken up to give fillip to developmental initiatives, Firdosa said that She is working hard to ensure inclusive development of her constituency focus on remote and far-flung areas.

Firdosa sought support of people in effectively implementing developmental agenda and assured that all necessary measures are being taken to meet developmental requirements of her constituency.

Later she visited Govt Middle School Panzigam in order to take first hand appraisal of the Education system and to resolve the issues confronting the students.

She interacted with the students, staff of the school and listened the problems being faced by them. The students and the staff apprised the DDC about numerous issues confronting the students which includes dearth of staff and, inadequate space, lack of infrastructure.

Taking note of the problem the DDC assured the school staff and students that all their genuine demands and issues shall be resolved on priority basis.
