General Assembly Elections-2024 – Series of activities held under SVEEP in Kupwara district

Kupwara: A series of awareness programmes were held under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Progrmme on the directions of District Election Officer (DEO), Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan in Kupwara district.
Awareness programmes were organized at Boys Higher Secondary School Tekipora, Boys Higher Secondary School Maidanpora, Boys Higher Secondary School Warnow and Girls Higher Secondary School Sogam under Supervision of District Nodal Officer SVEEP/CEO Kupwara, Abdul Majeed Dar.
The awareness programs aimed to educate citizens about the importance of voting, voter registration processes, and electoral participation.
The District Election Officer, DEO Kupwara urged the young voters to inspire their families, friends, relatives and neighbors for participating in the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2024 with enthusiasm.
The DEO also emphasized the young voters to play their role as ambassadors of democracy.
Meanwhile, plantation drives were also organized by authorities under SVEEP with an aim to   combine the environmental efforts with voter awareness campaigns.
The initiative symbolized the dual responsibility of citizens to care for the environment and exercise their right to vote.
