Srinagar : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed parra on Wednesday demands the end of reservation policy in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the list issued by Public Service Commission (JKPCC) on Tuesday, only 40 per cent of candidates selected on Open Merit and more than 70 per cent of the unreserved category population have qualified the JKPSC exam.
In a post on X, Waheed parra wrote, ” J&K PSC 2023 results reveal only 40% Open Merit selections, despite over 70% of the population. The government must scrap this unjust policy against merit and ensure reservations reflects true population proportions. J&K’s youth deserves inclusion, not exclusion. This isn’t limited to jobs but compromising long term quality and competence in all institutions.”
