Handwara Police arrests lady drug peddler along with narcotics

The police on Monday held a lady drug peddler along with narcotics in North Kashmir’s Handwara.

Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police on Monday arrested lady drug peddler and recovered narcotics from her possession.

A police spokesperson told that on Nov 27, 2022, a police party of Police Station Handwara apprehended one lady near ITI Gonipora, who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.

On searching, around 06 gm of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from her possession. The lady has been identified as Haseena Begum W/o Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, R/o Gonipora Handwara.

In relation to this, FIR No. 300/2022 U/s 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation has been initiated.
