Handwara Police observed Police Commemoration day

Handwara : Handwara police observed Police Commemoration day/today on 21st October, 2023 with patriotic enthusiasm at District Police lines Handwara.

Deputy Inspector General of Police NKR Shri Vivek Gupta-IPS presided over the function and took Salute of Commemoration Parade organized in the memory of martyrs as a mark of respect and honour. The function was attended by Brigadier 07 Sector (RR), CO 21,15 & 30 RR, CO 92 CRPF, ADHOC SSB, ADC Handwara, DDC CHAIRMAN Handwara, Municipal Chairman Handwara/Langate, SDPO Handwara, DYSP DAR Handwara and other officers/Officials of Police and civil administration, families of Martyred police personnel including media personnel as well as respectable citizens of Police District Handwara. Rich tributes were paid to the sons who laid their lives in the line of duty while serving the nation.
While remembering martyrs of PD Handwara who laid down their lives for the nation, DIG NKR Shri Vivek Gupta-IPS said that the country is indebted to all these martyrs and will remember their sacrifice forever for upholding the rule of law & ensuring safety and security of the common people.
