Handwara : In a decisive action against illegal mining, Handwara Police today seized 03 tippers and 01 JCB for their involvement in unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals.
Based on specific inputs, Police team of the police station handwara launched coordinated enforcement drives. During the operations, the vehicles were found transporting minerals without valid documentation, in clear violation of the Jammu and Kashmir Minor Mineral Concession, Storage, Transportation of Minerals and Prevention of Illegal Mining Rules, 2016. Legal action has been initiated against the violators under the relevant provisions of law.
