Srinagar, March 14: WE The Helping Hands Foundation (NGO) organised a tree-planting drive in several parts of Srinagar district on Sunday.
Mr. Umar Wani, the NGO’s Chairman, led the campaign, which included many other NGO members as well as locals.
On this occasion, members of the NGO went from house to house, stopping vehicles on the roads and distributing plants in various parts of Srinagar.
However, approximately 1,000 plants were distributed by the said NGO to people for environmental preservation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Umar Wani, Chairman of the NGO, stated that environmental conservation is highly important, the campaign is being carried out to preserve the ecology. “Such campaigns will be conducted in future to safeguard the ecosystem, he added.
