IED detected on Bandipora- Sopore road

Security forces on Saturday morning found an improvised explosive device (IED) on Bandipora—Sopore road near Ashtangoo.

A senior officer told news agency that a road opening party of the forces found the IED on the roadside in Ashtangoo area of Bandipora.

“ The bomb disposal has been rushed to the spot,” he said, adding that IED is planted inside a gas cylinder.

He added that traffic movement on Bandipora- Sopore road has been halted for some time—(KNO)
