INDIAN ARMY AVERTED TWO MAJOR ACCIDENTS AT KUPWARA.

In a continued effort towards the humanity Indian Army, Kupwara Terriers rescued a School Bus of _Sky Touch Educational Institute Kupwara_ when it went out of control and skidded off the road at Hirri Kupwara on 12 Apr 22 at 0900 AM. The Bus was carrying school children and was moving from Trehgam to Sky Touch Educational Institute Hirri Payeen. The incident took place in front of the road opening party of Kupwara Terriers.

The men in uniform swung into action and carefully evacuated all 45 students along with driver and conductor of the bus thus, averting a major accident.

The Army team then towed the vehicle back on to the road using a heavy military recovery vehicle.

In another incident a Wagonr car of _Mir Driving Institute Kupwara_ suddenly caught fire when it was moving from Trehgam to Kupwara on 12 Apr 22 at 12:45 PM. The fire was so dangerous that the men inside the Car where rescued by Army after putting strenunous efforts. The incident took place near Khan Mohalla Hirri Kupwara when ROP commander of Indian Army Kupwara Terriers was on his routine ROP duty.

While analysing the situation the said officer along with his QRT reacted within no time and rescued 3 x persons struck inside the car. The Officer called a water browser from Hirri Army camp and also informed Fire services Kupwara as well as police station Kupwara. With the joint efforts of Army and fire services Kupwara the fire was extinguished. In this way a major accident was averted.

The locals conveyed their gratitude to Indian Army for the timely assistance they provided.
