Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions ignite passion among students across Ganderbal

Several sports activities held, witnessing immense & enthusiastic participation of students

GANDERBAL : As part of inter-school Zonal level sports competitions, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal successfully organized a diverse range of sports activities across the district.
In Zone Kangan, an exciting Kabaddi competition for boys under-14 years of age was held at GHS Preng Kangan ground. The event saw participation from 147 enthusiastic students. Later trophies were distributed to the meritorious teams.
Simultaneously, Zone Tullamulla hosted the final match of the inter-school Zonal level Handball competition for boys under 14 years at Tehsilbagh Ground Khrabihama. The final match between PHSS Watlar and MS Banpora ended in a thrilling victory for PHSS Watlar.
Both the winner and runner-up teams were appreciated and felicitated.
Similarly, Zone Ganderbal organized two inter-school Zonal level sports competitions in Football and Handball for girls under 14 years at GCOPE Gadoora Ganderbal. The event witnessed the participation of 310 student players.
The best teams are being identified and trained by field officials with the aim of achieving success at the district level and bringing laurels to YSS Ganderbal.
Zone Hariganiwan also contributed by organizing intramural sports activities, including Cricket at HS Hayan and Kabaddi and Kho-kho at MS Yachihama. A significant number of enthusiastic students participated in these events.
