Inter State Youth Exchange Programme Concludes with Warm Farewell in Srinagar

Srinagar : The Inter State Youth Exchange Programme concluded on a high note as 27 youth from Rajasthan were given a heartfelt farewell, marking the end of a culturally enriching journey in Kashmir. The closing ceremony was graced by several distinguished officials, including Dr. Masarat Shah (Deputy Director, Family Welfare & MCH, GMC & AH), Amir Ali (Superintendent Engineer, R&B), Bashir Ahmad (Incharge Joint Director, SCERT), District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta, Mohammed Sultan (Estates Officer, SCERT), APA Gulzar Ahmad, Rahi Riyaz Ahmed (TOT Kashmir, NYKS).

During their stay, the visiting youth explored the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Kashmir, gaining firsthand experience of its rich heritage. They visited Dal Lake, Gulmarg, Hazratbal, Dachigam National Park, Hokersar Wetland, and the bustling markets of Lal Chowk. Their itinerary also included an immersive experience with local artisans, where they observed the intricate craftsmanship of paper mâché, Kashmiri shawl weaving, and traditional handicrafts.

Expressing their gratitude, the participants lauded Kashmir’s unmatched hospitality, warmth, and generosity. Local families welcomed them into their homes, offering them traditional Kashmiri Kehwa and Noon Chai, further deepening the cultural exchange. Their experiences were shared enthusiastically, with many pledging to promote Kashmir’s beauty and culture upon their return to Rajasthan.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Masarat Shah encouraged the youth to revisit Kashmir, highlighting the importance of such exchange programs in fostering national integration and mutual understanding. The event concluded with an atmosphere of camaraderie, as both hosts and guests bid farewell, carrying with them cherished memories and strengthened bonds of unity.
