Kupwara : The District Police Kupwara marked the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a series of impactful events, including seminars, rallies, and pledge ceremonies across all police stations in the district.
These initiatives were led by senior police officers, esteemed community members, and notably, students who played an active role in the activities.
The main event took place at the District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara, beginning with an enlightening seminar. During this session, students had an interactive discussion with Sh Gh Mohd Bhat, Additional SP Kupwara, focusing on the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of staying drug-free. The seminar concluded with a collective pledge against drug use.
Following the seminar, a rally was organized, starting from DPL Kupwara and concluding at Old Chowk Kupwara. The event culminated in a Drug-Free Pledge Signing Ceremony at Old Chowk, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to combating drug abuse.
These initiatives by the District Police Kupwara aim to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and foster a drug-free community.
