Iqra Model Public School celebrates Annual Day in Bandipora

Khayar (Bandipora) : Iqra Model Public School Khayar on thursday celebrated Annual day in the School Premises which was attended by students and the parents.

On the occasion the students presented colourful cultural programs and enthralled the audiences including the parents with their performances.

A long day Cultural Show held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show culminated.

Kids portrayed the journey of a girl child from an unwanted thing to a celebrity in the society through a blend of drama and dance. The satire on the thought process of humans by the animals and the depiction of dreams and desires of an unborn girl was an eye-opener for the audience.

Chairman of institution Sajad Ahmad Malik who was chief guest on the occasion congratulated the school for taking such an edifying topic which requires a quick moral action on everybody’s part. A karate demo was displayed in the school children.

The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas.

Principal Irshad Ahmad Malik extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented the Annual Report. He read out the achievements of the school – both Academic and Co-curricular and wished success to the students who could not make up for the prizes.

He said that the institution has contributed immensely to inculcate high moral values amongst its passouts adding that the institution is producing students with high learning levels with teachers serious towards their duties.

He enjoined upon the parents to also shoulder their responsibility while taking care of studies of kids at home as well.

He also congratulated the students who have participated in programme.

During the address, Rabiya Wahid teacher of institution highlighted the achievements made by the students on various fronts including sports. She said that a teacher has a vital role in shaping the career and the future of the students. She urged upon the students to opt scientific and rational approach for their studies and development of society in every respect.

Apart from school staff intellectuals, educationists, writers and people from all walks of life were also present on the occasion.

Locals appreciated the school administration for organizing such events frequently.
