Srinagar : The elevation of Jamayit Ali Agha to the position of Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) is being hailed as a significant step towards ensuring proper representation for the Chenab Valley. According to Sahil Bashir, District President of JKTF Kupwara, this development will help the forum reach new heights and is an honor for the teaching fraternity across the Union Territory, especially for the teachers of Chenab Valley.
Jamayit Ali Agha was felicitated at the renowned tourist resort Bangus, with UT Vice President (Kashmir) Muneer Ahmad Khan, district executive leadership, and zonal executive members in attendance. In a press briefing organized by the media cell of the teachers forum, Sahil Bashir emphasized the positive impact of Agha’s new role. “The said leader’s role will help the community usher in an era of new development, and he will uphold the integrity and democratic values with greater sanctity,” Bashir stated.
Bashir highlighted the necessity of strengthening the teachers’ forum at the grassroots level, expressing confidence that Agha will play a pivotal role as a torchbearer for the forum. He assured that the teachers’ forum in District Kupwara extends its support to the new UT Vice President in addressing the issues of teachers and school-going children.
The teachers at Bangus celebrated Agha’s elevation by distributing sweets among themselves. In his speech, Sahil Bashir thanked the district executive members and zonal executives for their dedication in welcoming guests from Chenab Valley with warmth and affection. He extended particular gratitude to key members, including the all-time favorite Zonal President of Zone Mawar, Kursheed Ahmad Bhat, Syed Javid Masroor (District Secretary), Mohd Amin Wani (District Publicity Secretary, Denposh), Khan Aatif Abdullah (Joint Secretary), Gh Mohd Massala (Zonal President of Zone Rajwar), Javid Rasool Lone (JKTF Zone Villagam), and Ab Kareem Ganie (VZP Mawar).
Bashir also paid sincere tributes to Mr. Ab Ahad Lone, Zonal Education Officer of Zone Mawar, and Abdul Lateef Qurashi, Head of Boys High School Nawgam, for their support in providing accommodation and logistics.
This elevation marks a new chapter for the JKTF, promising enhanced representation and advocacy for the teachers of Chenab Valley and the entire Union Territory.
