ANANTNAG: PDP leader Iltija Mufti on Wednesday speaking on the inauguration of the Chenab bridge by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 6 stated that more mindfulness towards Kashmir should be maintained since it was ecologically fragile, further stating that the inauguration was welcomed as a development.
“It’s a step that we should appreciate, but I would like to say that Kashmir is an ecologically fragile state. In Anantnag, near Pahalgam, they wanted to establish a rail track through orchards, but we need to remember the fragility of the place. The establishment of the rail track should be done keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers… they are deboarded at Katra for a security check, and there is a long delay of 2-3 hours there. So, these are things that should be looked into.”….” Mufti told the media.
