Khanyar attack: Probationary Sub inspector succumbs

Srinagar, Sep 12, KDC: A Probationary Sub inspector was killed in a militant attack on Sunday near Khanyar area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

A Police officer told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that militants fired upon a Police party in Khanyar area, in this incident one Probationary sub inspector (PSI) identified as Arshid Ahmad was injured. He was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment. However, he was shifted to SKIMS where he was succumbed to his injuries.

He said a case under relevant sections of law is being registered and a massive manhunt is being launched. (KDC)
