Khelo Kashmir and NYK Srinagar Successfully Organize 2-Day Cluster Level Sports Meet in Khanmoh

Srinagar : Khelo Kashmir, in affiliation with Nehru Yuva Kendra Srinagar and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, successfully hosted a two-day Cluster Level Sports Meet at Block Khanmoh, Srinagar, on January 21 and 22, 2025. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, and community engagement among the youth of the region.

The sports meet featured six competitive games, attracting 150 participants across various age groups. The events included:

Badminton
Skipping Rope
Kho Kho (for girls)
Volleyball
100-Meter Race

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Inam Hussain, Chairman of Khelo Kashmir, who served as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Mr. Bilal Ahmad, Ward Member, applauded the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to aim for higher achievements in sports.

At the conclusion of the sports meet, winners were awarded medals and mementos to celebrate their outstanding performances.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hussain emphasized, “Such initiatives are vital for nurturing young talent and promoting a culture of physical fitness among youth. Khelo Kashmir remains committed to organizing events that inspire sportsmanship and healthy competition.”

This successful event highlights the collective efforts of Khelo Kashmir and Nehru Yuva Kendra Srinagar in fostering teamwork, discipline, and a passion for sports among the youth.
