Kupwara, Feb 23: Basit Bashir, who hails from Kupwara town, is an all-rounder who took five wickets in his first match against Himachal Pradesh.
The left-arm pace prodigy from Kupwara Basit Bashir Lone also played U16 for JKCA 2018-19 and U19 for Zonal Cricket Academy camp.
Basit has been selected to undergo coaching at Chennai’s MRF pace academy and will join there on February 27th where he will be trained under Glen McGrath of Australia.
Basit was the top performer in the bowling department for the U16 and U19 teams last year, claiming two five-wicket hauls too.
Another feather in Basits’ career, who seems to be on the right path to be J&K’s next star in bowling.
He was selected after the trails, and Basit was the only bowler from J&K.
Bashir Bashir aspires to play for India cricket team, he continued i want to make Kupwara and Kashmir proud by playing for Indian.
He continued, i am hopeful the days is not far when i will be playing for my country.
