The meeting was chaired by DySP DAR Kupwara, who gave a patient and compassionate hearing to the kins of martyrs. During the meeting, DySP assured the attendees that all grievances related to District Police matters would be resolved promptly. He further assured the gathering that grievances requiring intervention from higher- ups would be communicated without delay to ensure their timely redressal. The event highlighted the District Police’s commitment to the welfare of the martyrs’ families.

In a separate event held on 29th October 2024, photographs of various martyrs were displayed in the primary schools they once attended, as a tribute to their heroic sacrifices. This initiative was a heartfelt gesture to honour the memory of those who laid down their lives in the service of the nation. By displaying their photographs in the schools, the initiative aimed to inspire the younger generation, instilling a sense of pride and respect for the bravery and dedication of these fallen heroes.

These events are part of the broader observance of Police Commemoration Day 2024 and Police Flag Day, being marked from 21st to 31st October in Kupwara.
