Large public turnout witnessed in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Keller Block of Shopian

SHOPIAN : All six designated Panchayats of Keller block, where the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign was undertaken today, witnessed appreciable participation of people.

Government officers and officials, PRIs, youth and students and beneficiaries of Government welfare schemes took part in Yatra enthusiastically.

The aim of the yatra is to generate awareness regarding the Central government’s welfare schemes and policies to ensure 100 percent saturation of flagship government schemes with the sole purpose to facilitate the general public at their doorsteps.

The campaign organized in six Panchayats includes Mastpora, Moshwara, Narapora, Naserpora, Phelipora and Wathoo of Shopian district.

The highlights of the programme included holding medical camps, on spot registration of people for various beneficiaries schemes, banking services and drone demonstrations.

Flagship schemes viz. PM KISAN, Vishvakarma, Suraksha Bima Yojna, Jeevan Jyoti, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, JJM, Poshan Abhiyaan and scores of other schemes including welfare, employment and income generation based schemes were highlighted by officials and people were asked to register.

A variety of cultural programmes, debates and painting competitions were also held across these panchayats. The programme ended with the felicitation ceremonies.
