In his address, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the efforts of volunteers and everyone associated with the Guidance and Career Counselling Cell for Youth Development in imparting skill development and coaching to the youth to ensure their brighter future.

“This unique youth organisation is a role model for the nation. GCC has adopted a futuristic approach for the youth-centric initiatives to enhance the quality of their pursuits and enabling them to pursue their dreams. The focused effort to study, understand, develop and conserve cultural and intellectual heritage is truly inspiring,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

He said the way GCC has designed its entire programs clearly reflects the youth’s desire to adopt a futuristic approach.

“I want youth of J&K to be daring, adventurous and strong. I want our youth to be unshakably strong in their morals and ideals. I firmly believe that our youth must show the way to the world by carrying age-old traditional values in one hand and modern scientific tools in the other,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The Lieutenant Governor observed that the speedy and inclusive development of society largely depends on productivity of its youth.

To realize the progress that we have envisaged for J&K, we need to secure the health and well-being of our youth at local level. GCC is working with administration to achieve this goal through infrastructure and coaching, he said.
