Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Awareness programme under SVEEP held at BHSS Vilgam

KUPWARA : As part of the SVEEP programme and on the directions of District Election Officer Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, the District Nodal Officer SVEEP today organized a mega awareness programme at BHSS Vilgam to ensure greater participation of the people in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.
Main attraction of the programme was Kashmiri Cultural Show, Band Paethar and Nukud Natak, during which local artists performed and provided awareness to the participants for greater electoral participation.
Meanwhile, a large number of students, first time voters and people from different walks of life participated.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather, District Nodal Officer SVEEP (Chief Education Officer Kupwara), Abdul Majeed Dar, Dy. CEO, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Principal BHSS Vilgam, Manzoor Ahmad War, ZEO, other officials and teachers participated.
The ADC highlighted the importance of voting and appealed the students to become the brand ambassadors for SVEEP programme.
CEO in his speech highlighted the importance of greater electoral participation for a strong democracy. He underscored the importance of youth in the electoral participation in order to reap the benefits of democracy at the gross roots level.
Dy. CEO, Principal and others also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of SVEEP for a stronger democracy.
At last all the participants led by ADC Handwara and District Nodal officer SVEEP marched towards the Villgam market to aware the general public about the importance of electoral participation.
