SHOPIAN : In the run up to Lok Sabha Election-2024, Election Department Shopian in collaboration with the Department of RDD thursday conducted a daylong training programme for different departmental staffers as part of first phase general training at DIET, Degree College and Mini-Secretariat Shopian.

The training programme was presided over by District Election Officer, (Deputy Commissioner) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb, and training was imparted by District Level Master Trainer, Irfan Ahmed.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Election Officer stressed on adopting rules and regulations in letter and spirit and performing duties with utmost dedication, zeal and zest and with great honesty.

He also directed for mutual cooperation and support during the election process to make these elections a grand success. Thrust was given on learning and following timeliness strictly.

Deputy District Election Officer, Shopian further said that training programmes shall continue till all the available manpower is fully trained

During the programme, District Level Master Trainer imparted training related to EVM and other election related activities besides deliberating upon duties and precautions to be observed by poll staff.

The officers and officials of the election department were present.
