Militant involved in recent civilian killing killed in Hajin: IGP

A militant involved in a recent civilian killing at Gund Jahangeer Hajin area of North kashmir’s Bandipora district has been killed in an encounter on Monday morning.

Kashmir Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said that the militant has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar affiliated with proscribed militant outfit LeT (TRF). “The slain was involved in recent civilian killing at Shahgund, ” he said as per news agency—Kashmir news observer (KNO).

Earlier, the police said that an encounter broke out between security forces and militants at Gund Jahangeer Hajin area of Bandipora district.

On Saturday, IGP kashmir had said that they have solved the Shahgund, Bandipora killing conspiracy case by busting a module and arrested four OGWs LeT (TRF) involved in the killing of Muhammad Shafi Lone alias Sonu.
