Mir Junaid visits fire victims of Qalamabad, promises compensation

Handwara : J&K Workers Party president Mir Junaid Saturday visited the fire victims in Qalamabad Mawer and expressed sympathy with the affected families whose wealth turned into ashes in the devastated fire. He at the occasion assured adequate compensation to affected families.

Interacting with Auqaf body, trade unions, Juniad Mir said that I extend my full sympathy with fire affected families of Qalamabad who lost their life-earned wealth in the mishap.

While castigating the preparedness of Fire and Emergency Service department, Mir Junaid said that despite being stationed at 100 Meters, away from fire incident, the 40 minutes delay indicates the non-seriousness of the department.

He said that I would be personally taking up the issue with district administration for early compensation to the fire victims. “I would also compensate to the damage that the families and mosque has suffered in the incident,” he said.

He urged upon local community and NGOs to come forward to help the fire affected families and play their role in rehabilitating them.

Meanwhile Mir Junaid visited the NTPHC Qalamabad to take the stock of medical facilities at the center.

Responding to installation of Xray machine, Mir Junaid talked to Director Health Kashmir over phone for early installation of XRay machine at the health centre.

The locals also raised several other issues and expressed gratitude to Mir Junaid for paying visit to the area and listening their grievances.
